She became CNN's lead investigative reporter focusing on terrorism networks, and in 2003, the Simon & Schuster group published her book, Seeds of Terror: An Eyewitness Account of Al-Qaeda's Newest Center of Operations in Southeast Asia, the first from the region documenting the growth of Jemaah Islamiyah and its links to Al-Qaeda.

Carla is a marketing leader whose communication strategies were developed over a decade in the telecommunications and technology industries. As the Senior Product Manager & Head of Brand Equity Management of Smart Communications, her integrated campaigns spanned telecom and broadband categories. She heads Sales & Marketing for Rappler, Inc., and has spearheaded new engagement and digital strategies for award-winning campaigns for partner brands in different industries that have contributed to the growth of both Rappler and its brand partners.
Joseph Benjamin ("Joben") Illagan
Joben is Co-Founder and President of Seer Technologies, an 11-year-old software consultancy, design, development and managed-services company focused on mobile, cloud and data technologies. He is also Co-Founder and Chairman of Codesignate, a software services startup focused on mobile and web applications development. Before that, he spent nearly 10 years in Oracle Philippines handling various roles such as Solutions Architecture, Software Development, Education, Technology Pre-sales and consulting for some of Oracle's largest customers in the country.
